Ethel P. Crossan, 85, of Landenberg, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2010 at Jennersville Regional Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Paul G. Crossan, Sr. who passed away in 1985 and with whom she shared 39 years of marriage.
Born in West Grove, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Bertha Volk Pennington.
She was a member of West Grove United Methodist Church.
The secretary to the superintendent of Avon Grove School District for 30 years, she retired in 1985.
In retirement, she volunteered at the Penn Grove School Library and the Silver Circle at Jennersville Regional Hospital. She enjoyed working out at Curves, playing cards with her friends, monthly luncheons at Perkins and visits to Texas where she and her daughter-in-law drove up movie attendance.
Survivors include two sons, Paul G. Crossan, Jr. and his wife Lynda of Flower Mound, Texas, Randy Crossan and his wife, Wava of Rebersburg and former daughter-in-law, Rosalind Yarnall; five grandchildren, Tina Folk, Tammy Price, Dawn Gentry, Bryan Crossan and Adam Crossan and nine great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 2, at West Grove United Methodist Church, 300 N. Guernsey Road, West Grove, PA 19390, where her funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m.
Interment will be in New London Presbyterian Cemetery, 1986 Newark Road, (Route 896), New London, PA 19360.
